My Night With a Superstar

I don't want to brag, but I'm a big deal. In fact I'm so much of a big deal that I spent last night watching Saw 4 with a former NFL superstar. Today is Ken Dilger's birthday, but he's spending it with Chris Rock, and ironically enough The Rock. But last night he came over and I popped in Saw 4. We sat on my leather sofa with a bowl of popcorn and some soda. Ken was really hyped up, he had seen the first 3 and he claimed they're "masterpieces." I don't know if I can get behind that, but I didn't want to get into an argument with him on his birthday. Plus for a big tough football player he's kind of soft, if you know what I mean. Anyways back to the movie.
I had no idea how they were going to make a 4th, but they did and I have to say that it's pretty damn good. Although Jigsaw is dead you can feel his presence in the games he plays throughout the film.
The traps are more elaborate, and torturous. If you have a weak stomach, this isn't really the film for you. Ken was watching the movie through his fingers for a good 3/4 of it. The same amount of blood and guts are there, so if that's what made you a fan of the first 3 you won't be disappointed. Some of the storylines seem rushed and unbelievable, and some of the acting is spotty at best, but it didn't really make the movie any less enjoyable.
The night was good, we watched a good film, ate delicious popcorn and caught up. We talked about the old days, when we would go out after his games. We would walk into a bar and it was like he was Elvis, I swear. The women wanted him and the men wanted to be him...and a few wanted him. I would say more about the times we had, but we might get sued for slander or libel and it's not like I have money or anything. So tonight I implore you, sing Happy Birthday to Ken Dilger. Just do it right in your chair right now. It doesn't have to be loud, you can do it under your breath. Just as long as you do it. Pay respect where respect is due.
