Stephen A. Smith of ESPN reported this morning that Nuggets and Pistons are "very close" on a deal that would send All-everything Guard Allen Iverson to the Pistons for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess and Cheikh Samb.

More to follow as this plays out.

This would be ironic on so many different levels the most interesting being:
1.) A full on admission by the Nuggets that the Iverson-Melo experiment failed.
2.) This would be McDyess' third stint with the team that drafted him.
3.) Chauncey Billups would return home and seemingly end his career with a second stint with his home town Nuggets.
