EagleBank Bowl Preview: Wake Forest vs. Navy | Sharapova's Thigh

EagleBank Bowl
Wake Forest (-3) vs. Navy

Saturday, 11:00 AM Eastern
Washington D.C.
Game Time Forecast: Cloudy 38-40 degrees

This is a good matchup but could be redundant as they have already played each other this year. Navy won 24-17. It was to close of a game for Navy after forcing 6 turnovers. Navy though is looking for their second 10 win season in school history. (1 win this season to a lower divison team) They are coming off 2 straight shutout wins. They lead the nation in rushing, however Wake is ranked 21st in stopping the run to make an interesting matchup when Navy has the Ball.

Wake Forest is out for revenge after barely losing the first game. Riley Skinner threw 4 interceptions of the previously mentioned 6 turnovers. Skinner has only 7 interceptions on the season. I don't think he will have the same problem this time around, however, he was sacked 29 times this season and that could come into play as Navy's D-line is significantly better that Wake's O-Line.

Whichever team establishes a solid run game early has the edge. Wake should have a better day throwing which will open up their run game a bit. I look for Wake to come out strong and hold Navy's run game back to the point of a revenge victory. This should be a close and exciting game to open Bowl Season.

My Pick: Wake Forest
Against the spread: Wake Forest (-3)
