Tailgate Wiki

If you're a fan of this site, I'd guess you're also a big fan of beer, food, and sports. If you like all three of those things, you probably are also a big fan of tailgating. If so, you'll really like a new site from our good buddy Dave Lamm of TailgatingIdeas.Com, called "Tailgate Wiki". Here's Dave's explanation of what Tailgate Wiki is all about:

Basically Tailgatewiki.com is designed loosely on the wikipedia
concept that anyone with internet access is considered an expert in
the field and can contribute their personal knowledge in an online
arena. Wikipedia covers all areas whereas Tailgate Wiki is focusing on
tailgating and improving the game day atmosphere. Because many fans
follow their team when they play on the road, Tailgate Wiki will serve
as a resource for those fans to understand what to expect when they
get there. Kind of like having a friend in every city, at every
stadium, giving you the inside scoop on the best places to park, what
things are not allowed in the parking lot, (i.e. Qualcomm Stadium bans
glass bottles yet there are no signs posted at the gates) and which
sections of the parking lot tend to party more and which sections are
more family friendly. Home fans will learn something about their own
stadium that they may not have known before this site was started.

The site went live on Friday and there are a few minor bugs to work
out as with any new launch. College baseball and horse racing will be
added within the week so as to complete the categories that sports
fans tailgate the most. But all in all, this is going to be a valuable
resource of information for the sports fan in general whether they
just come to the game or come to tailgate.

The main homepage is http://www.tailgatewiki.com/. As a season ticket
holder to the Chargers since 2004, I have done my fair share of
tailgating at Qualcomm Stadium. I took it upon myself to fill out the
Chargers page and I am sure there is more info that can be added by
people who tailgate in different sections or enter via a different
gate. As an example of the type of information we are seeking from
those users and contributors, please check out the Chargers page as an
example. http://www.tailgatewiki.com/view.cfm/NFL%20Football/San%20Diego%20Chargers

Since the website was launched on Friday, some sections are completely
bare. Other sections have already been updated with some really good
info. I would encourage you to contribute your knowledge on stadiums
and venues you frequent. Also, if you have a website or a blog that
this type of an informational resource might be of interest to your
visitors, I would encourage you to make a mention of it. Lastly, if
you are a message board or forum member of a college or pro sports
team, I am sure those fans would enjoy knowing about and contributing
to Tailgate Wiki too.
Very cool stuff, so make sure to check it out, and even help out with the tailgating information if you can.
