The 6'8" left tackle was an athletic 321 pounds last season in the Raiders' zone-blocking scheme (it's crucial to have athletic offensive linemen in that scheme; the Houston Texans show it off better than anybody), but in 2013, the Raiders are moving to a power-blocking scheme that will require the offensive linemen to beef up a bit.
And Veldheer has certainly done just that. Veldheer's strength coach, Mark Ehnis, tweeted that Veldheer will be reporting to camp at 325 pounds. Apparently, that will be an all-muscle 325 pounds.
